Frequently Asked Questions:
Is my information secure and confidential with Claessens Law?
Absolutely. The best Lawyer-Client relationships are based on trust and confidence. At our office, we work towards building that relationship by ensuring that our client's information is secure and confidential.
This site is protected with SSL certification. SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is the standard security technology for establishing an encrypted link between a web server and a browser. This link ensures that all data passed between the web server and browsers (you) remain private and integral.
Our email server encrypted both as written and while it is "in transit" through data centers on its way to or from our office. Despite these efforts direct email communication is not the safest option available for Attorney-Client Communication. We are able to offer independent client portals through Clio Connect to establish an encrypted and private line of communication for information and document sharing. The Clio Connect portal is not difficult to establish but does require sign up.
Our files are maintained in paperless format. All client originals are quickly returned; all other confidential documents that are no longer needed are promptly and securely destroyed.
Finally, all physical measures have been taken to ensure confidentiality of client information. All the technology in the world won't protect information that is left out in the open. Our building is protected by locks and codes, as are our computer terminals and desks.
If you ever have any concerns about security or confidentiality please bring it to our attention immidiately.
Can I pay my invoice or trust request online?
